Sharing of the Paper on the Situation of Girls in Nepal

JCYCN with the support of KANALLAN published a position paper on the situation of girls in Nepal. The paper was launched by her Hon. Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Tham Maya Thapa.

Civil Society Discussion on Child Rights Bill

N-CFLG Forum and Citizen’s Campaign for Child Rights and Child Protection in collaboration with NACG and JCYCN organized “Civil Society Discussion on Child Rights Bills” on 27th Aug 2018. The main objective of the event was to discuss the Child Rights Bill that was presented in the parliament and make changes to it accordingly and also have a discussion on the increase in cases of violence against children.

Province Level Girls Summit

JCYCN in collaboration with UNICEF, //KANALLAN, Girls Kick, NCFLG Forum, Garden of Hope Foundation, Asian Girls Campaign, NHRC, Devchuli Municipality, CWIN, Child Nepal, SPCSN, YUWALAYA, Caritas Nepal, Care Nepal,HAMI, Swatantrata Abhiyan, INSEC, World Vision and various other organizations organized a province level Girl Summit for Gandaki Province and Province number 5 on 21st Sept 2018 and 22nd Sept 2018 in Devchuli Municipality, Nawalparasi. The theme of the summit was on stopping child marriage and violence against girl child.

On the occasion of International Youth Day 2018, The Ministry of Youth and Sports distributed an appreciation certificate to JCYCN under the National Youth Talent Award for its tireless work since its establishment in Girls Empowerment, Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG), Youth Empowerment, Safe and Dignified Migration, Peacebuilding, and Child and Human rights monitoring.
