A 5-day Global Entrepreneurs’ Forum has been successfully conducted from 5th December 2018 to 9th December 2018 in Kathmandu. The event was organized by Jagriti Children and Youth Concern Nepal, International Youth Society, Track Nepal, O-YES Foundation and Lions Club of Kathmandu in collaboration with National Youth Council Nepal, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mero Consultancy, Asian Institute of Management Training, Yasuko Travels, Future City Summit, and Manang Hotel Thamel. There was a participation of over 150 participants from 10 countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sudan, Somalia, Bhutan, Pakistan, Demark and Nepal.

The Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was Mr. Madhav Prasad Dhungel, Vice President of National Youth Council while the other guests included Mr. Tilotam Paudel, President of Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal, Mr. Narayan Basnet, President of Lions Club Kathmandu Image, Ms. Janaki Gurung, Country Director of International Youth Society Nepal, Mr. Piya Ratna Maharjan and Dr. Selver Kumar Veloo from Malaysia. The opening ceremony of the event was conducted on 5th Dec 2018. Mr. Madhav Prasad Dhungel asked the participants to ponder on questions such as “Does your business have the ideal mix of products and services? Do you apply the ‘date in, date out’ principle to every sales conversation? Do you protect your business cashflow with cash up front from customers? Do you follow up on your best business ideas when your emotions are high?”


A variety of session were conducted on 6th and 7th Dec 2018 from various speakers from various countries such as Mr. Troyavan (Indonesia), Mr. Mel Davidson (Denmark), Mr. Mark Lee (Singapore), Mr. Bala Chandranan (Malaysia), Mr. Timilsina (Guiness World Record Holder) (Nepal) and Miss Janaki Gurung (Nepal). These sessions were focused on various aspects to provide a great amount of information to the participants, they included Turn Your Goal into Cash, which was an interactive session on teambuilding and group work, creating a Business Plan, which consisted of providing ideas regarding making business plans with interactive session with the participants, a panel discussion session consisting of Mr. Santosh Shah, Sixit Bhatta, and Fumiko Miyabi where business ideas were discussed and more.
On 8th Dec 2018, the participants of the Global Entrepreneurs’ Forum travelled to Dhulikhel to get a panoramic view of the Himalayas. Which was followed by a field visit to the Bhaktapur Handloom Emporium to allow the participants to see in action the various aspects they learnt during the training earlier. The graduation ceremony was conducted the same day followed by the closing ceremony, a multi-cultural program and a Group Photo.
