Nepal is suffering by big natural disaster from 25th April 2015 devastating earthquake till date over 7000 people lost their life, and over 14000 people are injured and 191058 houses are totally damaged and 175162 houses were partially damaged. 10,744 government buildings had been totally destroyed, with another 14,741 partially damaged. 121 schools are totally damaged and 192 schools are partially damaged. Eight million people have been affected from this devastating earthquake. After the earthquake, many funding agencies, NGOs, INGOs, Private sectors and individuals are joining their hands with coordinating Government of Nepal especial with DDRC.
On this pathetic situation with the leadership of Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal (JCYCN) and collaboration and coordination with ESDO-Nepal, Ideal Investor Group, Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction Forum Nepal (CMDRR Forum Nepal), Islamic Medical Association Nepal (IMAN), Sinergi Foundation Indonesia, Albarari Dubai UAE with the coordination of Suraj Maharjan individual Youth Circle from Devdaha Rupandehi, Youth Circle form Biratnagar, National Public Health Advocacy and Research Foundation. With the joint effort of all above organization, we are helping for Victims of Nepal Earthquake and other individuals those joined their hands jointly involved in rescue and relief materials collection distribution from the very beginning. By our coordination and collaboration 1000 household get the relief materials of Sirubari VDC of Sindhupalchok, Laharepauwa VDC of Rasuwa, Nasikasthan VDC of Kavre and Kritipur and Syuchatar of Kathmandu, Gorkha district. For this support we are getting fund Rs.90000 from ESDO-Bangladesh, 100 Euro from Clear (personal donation), US$1250 from Sinergi Foundation Indonesia, Albarari Dubai UAE with the coordination of Suraj Maharjan Rs. 63900 and other we are collecting from local level and coordination with other agencies. In our relief package there has, 30 kg rice, 1 tents, 2 litter oil, 1kg salt, 1 blankets, noodles packets, beaten rice 5kg, Shop, water bottle, cloths etc for per family.
In this critical situation many youth are mobilizing. Youth power is more powerful team for the rescue, relief distribution and other support. Through our coordination 200 youth are mobilizing for the relief collection, distribution, cleaning, support for the health service etc. Since 26th April 2015 we are responding and updating the information frequently and coordination and collaboration with National government Local DRR committee, BBC, NGO Federation, DPNet, National Public Health Advocacy and Research Foundation and other authorize agency and international NGO, INGOs, friends group and other personal.
Our volunteers are mobilizing in Nawalparasi, Ramechap, Kathmandu, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, Dhading, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur district. Still we are working in affected area. It seems that many helping hands are working short-term support but long-term program is most important. Our support is continuously going on with the joint effort of different organizations, individuals and government of Nepal.
